Frequently Asked Questions

How long can someone stay?

Some residents have probation officers and legal requirements to follow, others have nothing but their own personal needs to consider.

Most people stay just a handful of months, using the sober living home as a stepping stone between rehab and independent living. However, some may stay longer depending on their circumstances. As long as they are doing well in the home and keeping up with the requirements, many homes have no limits on someone’s length of stay.

Can I have visitors?

Our homes allow visitors until 9pm, Your visitor must stay in the common areas of the house and please limit the number of visitors. You will have opportunities to form friendships with fellow residents and to be an active part of the larger recovery community. As you were in treatment, you’ll be encouraged to keep healthy, meaningful relationships and build new ones with friends who support your recovery.

Can I have a job and vehicle?

Meraki encourage you to find a job. We work with local businesses or have access to community resources that will help you get back on your feet. We allow you to have a car if you have a valid license, proof of insurance, and current tabs.
